Volunteer Emergency Responders What's the connection between planning and response? How do responders use organizational and institutional frameworks to evaluate their planning efforts? How can we develop interventions to improve planning and thus improve response? Designs: Ethnographic interviews, survey, and simulation.
Organizational Change and Interprofessional Communication How do we use institutional and organizational ideas to evaluate and create messages about change in particular as relevant for guideline implimentaiton in health care contexts? Design: Experiment.
Measures of Instituional Beliefs How can we better measure professional beliefs about the institutions that guide their work? Design: Confirmatory factor analysis of existing survey data.
Information Avoiding What reasons do people report for avoiding information about health? How does previous experience with illness influence their avoiding? How might these frameworks help us understand how and why organizations avoid information? Designs: Interview, experiment.
