Meet the research team.
Jacquelyn Chinn
Jacquelyn earned a B.A. in Psychology with minors in Business and French from Texas A&M University. She is working toward her M.A. in the Communication Department. Her research focuses on the organizational aspects of public diplomacy and new media initiatives. Engaging in government-to-individual and individual-to-individual communication is a departure from traditional government-to-government and government-to-press forms of communication for the State Department and for other government agencies and contractors. Jacquelyn examines these questions interpretively, from local, emergent perspectives. She is also currently collaborating with Dr. Joshua Barbour on a project examining the local inceptions of nationally conceived volunteer emergency response organizations. When she’s not doing school work, she’s probably relaxing with a non-school leisure book, doing activities with her church, or practicing her keyboard.
